Happy Haunting SVG

Who needs some more Halloween SVGs? This “Happy Haunting” SVG is great for adding to your Halloween decorations this year! (some links affiliate)

Halloween SVG Project Ideas

I designed it and then used it as a pattern to make a Halloween scrollsaw sign. The word “haunted” is cut from 1/4 inch MDF, then primed with spray primer, sanded and painted with black spray paint.

Making the wood sign

The sign backer is plywood that I painted around the edge with black craft paint. Then I rubbed some beeswax over some of the black paint after it had dried. This made it a little easier to distress the white top layer of paint.

With my Cricut, I cut a vinyl stencil (this stencil material is a great choice!) of the word “happy” and used it to paint that on with black paint. To attach the scrollsaw word I used Gorilla super glue with the brush top.

When you upload this file, the two words are separate so you can make them two different vinyl colors if you want. If you’ll be making a stencil or using a single color of vinyl, make sure you *attach* them so they stay in the right places when you cut.
