Last minute 4th of July signs are totally easy when you have Cricut supplies on hand. I made this stars and stripes Cricut sign in just a few minutes, and you can too!
You may have some of these things already, or you might need a quick trip to the craft store. These are links to places I like to do some online shopping too. (affiliate links)
  • Cricut machine
  • Adhesive vinyl (red, blue, black, holographic – or other colors / glitter that you want)
  • Transfer tape
  • Weeding tools
  • Scraper
  • Wood sign base (this was a very smooth sign – rougher wood will work better with iron-on vinyl!)
  • Design Space Project link

It’s a pretty basic vinyl project. Open the Design Space file and just resize the design to fit your wood sign.

Cut each piece from different colors of vinyl. Duplicate and add more fireworks if you want!

Weed away the excess vinyl and apply transfer tape to the top of each vinyl cutout.

Position the fireworks and add the “Stars & Stripes” phrase last. A scraper tool helps the vinyl really stick to the wood before peeling away the transfer tape.

Read this post for tips on using vinyl

You can see in the video how I almost roll the transfer tape off of the vinyl, pulling it away at a very sharp angle, instead of straight up.

I hope you have fun making your own 4th of July Stars and Stripes Cricut sign – be sure to send me a picture if you do!
