Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Spring break started today and I took a day off to go play with the kids. We headed down to Woodburn, OR to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. We’ve gone for several years, and it’s always so pretty. We were lucky enough to catch some sun breaks while we were there, even though it was chilly. And it didn’t rain until our drive home.

As you might imagine, the photo-opps are plentiful.

Since it’s still pretty early in the season, lots of rows haven’t started blooming yet, but they’re close. We still got to see plenty of color.

When we were done tiptoe-ing through the tulips, we headed back to the activities area and snacked on a couple of elephant ears, played on swings and raced several rubber duckies.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is open through April 30th this year, and is just $5 per person 13 and up (or $20 max per car – so take a crowd if you want!) Have you ever been to this location? Or do you have a tulip festival in near where you live?
