What Can the Cricut Maker Cut?

Some links may be affiliate

Did you just get a Cricut Maker for Christmas? Or maybe you’re considering getting one with some Christmas money?

A lot of people are asking what the Cricut Maker can cut, so I wanted to list out everything you can find in the drop-down menu of materials to select when using your Maker. You should also know that you can create your own custom settings as well, so this is not a complete list – but it definitely is an awesome starting point, and certainly showcases what the Cricut can do. I don’t even know what all those types of fabric are! 🙂
I also have a similar post with a good list of what the Cricut Explore can cut. Click the links below to see see color options and purchase.

So many possibilities for what you can cut with a Cricut Maker, right? The rotary blade expands the types of projects you can make and you’ll be amazed at how well it cuts things like felt and all kinds of fabric. Let me know if you have any questions!

I am wanting to make a cake topper with my cricuit maker in a gold mirror acrylic. Where do I buy the acrylic from and what thickness should I use?

I would like to know if the Maker can cut faux fur that is long fur. I make Llamas from this and would like to use the Maker for this. Want to know before I buy one. Thank you. Carla from Utah

I haven't tried it - but here are my thoughts, based on my experience. Yes, I do think that it would be able to cut the faux fur with the rotary blade. However, because you won't be able to really control the direction of the way the fur lies, you might not be perfectly happy with the result. When you hand cut it, and are careful to just cut the back part and leave all the long fur, the Maker won't be able to do that. Hope that helps though!
