Minion Snack Mix recipe perfect for a family movie night or Minion-themed party.

Who’s excited for the new Minions movie? We sure are! In fact, my 6 year old is always quoting “Ba-na-na” at random times. So we’re sharing a Minion Mix Snack to celebrate. It would be a great recipe to serve at a Minions party too.

I’m the oldest of 6 kids–here’s a family photo from 1990. Aw, look how cute, right? You can imagine what a challenge it was to be the one to score the toy in the cereal box. Can any of you relate?

Now I’ve got kids of my own, and I can pass on the same thrill of the hunt as we look for the 7th and final Minion from specially marked boxes of General Mills cereal at Walmart.

Pick up the following ingredients:
Cocoa Puffs
Golden Grahams
Salted peanuts
Mini marshmallows
Yellow candy melts (found in the cake decorating aisle)
(optional: black food pen)

Start by dipping the marshmallows in melted yellow candies and then let them cool. I used a foam block to hold the toothpicks while they set up.

If desired, draw lines and circles on the marshmallows. My daughter Emily named them MarshMinions. Perfect, right?

In a large bowl combine 1 cup each of Cocoa Puffs, Golden Grahams, peanuts and dipped marshmallows.

For an extra cute way to serve this snack, I made some yellow cardstock snack boxes and added gray, black and white paper to make them look like Minions.

I designed these completely in Cricut Design Space™! If you’re a Cricut user, you can access the project here:
Minion Boxes.

So if you’re looking for a fun way to get excited for the Minions movie, make up a batch of Minion Mix, put them in your Minion boxes, and enjoy! And then take a picture and share on my Facebook page or tag me on Instagram. I’d love to see them!
