These Maleficent cupcakes are perfect for a movie night watching Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent, or Mistress of Evil.

Princesses shouldn’t get to have all the fun, right? These cupcakes are super easy, and you can tell right away who they represent.

Supplies for Maleficent cupcakes

  • Cupcakes (I used chocolate, baked in purple liners)
  • Frosting (I used this frosting recipe from Our Best Bites and added a few drops of mint flavor and 3 drops green food color)
  • Black candy melts
  • Maleficent horn pattern, printed
  • Wax paper
  • Sandwich bag
  • Toothpicks
Black candy melts

Make candy Maleficent horns

While cupcakes are baking, print out the horn pattern and place a piece of wax paper over the top. Melt some black candy in the microwave and pour into a sandwich bag with a tiny bit of one corner cut off.

Squeeze some of the candy onto the wax paper and spread it around with a toothpick, filling the pattern. Try to work quickly so it doesn’t set up on you. Make a few more than you think you need in case some break. Let cool.

When cupcakes have cooled, frost them and top each one with a candy horn piece that you’ve peeled off of the wax paper.

These cupcakes would be great for a Halloween party too. Pin it and save it for later!
