This post was first shared in the SugarBee guest post extravaganza.  Here it is again, in case you missed it.

Today I’m showing you a project that I did with my kids.

You will need:
Gingerbread man shapes from brown paper…trace a cookie cutter, print a template, or use an electronic cutter. I used a file from Lettering Delights and made them about 6 inches tall

Cupcake liners
Twine
Tape
Markers, crayons, colored paper, glue, etc

Hand the men over over to the kids and let them decorate.

I gave them a sample one. You can see how they interpreted it 🙂

But they had a great time, and that’s the most important thing.  (Does that one on the right remind anyone of Iron Man?)

To assemble the banner, tape gingerbread men to the twine, alternating with folded cupcake liners.

I hope this is something that looks fun to you.  It could be a great project to keep kids busy during the school break, or even have all the grandkids decorate one each and hang them up at Grandma’s house!
