{Tutorial for a soft and fluffy faux fur pillow}
Back in December I made a fur vest for my daughter. I wanted one for her Christmas outfit I was putting together, and decided to just go for it and make one. And it turned out so cute! I had a bunch of faux fur leftover though (I’d made sure to buy extra in case I messed it up)
I asked on Instagram what I should do with the rest of it, and as soon as pillow was mentioned I knew that was the winner.
I made my own pillow form too, but you could use a pillow you already have. The tricky thing is that this white fur is a little see through, so I couldn’t try wrapping the dark pillow I already had.
Anyway, here’s what you’ll need to make this pillow
- faux fur 28 x 23 inches
- muslin or other white fabric (I also had this leftover from the vest) 23 x 20 inches
- stuffing (I used the insides of an old throw pillow)
- X-acto knife or box cutter
- sewing machine and thread
- cardboard to protect your work surface from the box cutter
