To create this farmhouse style clock, paint was provided to me but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I took a detour from painting furniture and went after the big clock in our kitchen. We’ve had this clock in 4 different houses over the last 9 years or so. When we painted our walls I knew it would look great as a white farm-house style clock and I finally got around to it!

So here’s what it looked like before.

After making sure it was clean of any grease or dust I painted it with Country Chic Paint in Vanilla Frosting (all-in-one).

It dried about an hour and I used a damp washcloth to wipe away and distress some of the paint.

Then I let it dry overnight and the next day I applied some Natural Wax. I rubbed some on with a  clean cloth and then buffed it to a soft finish. This will make it easy to clean later, as it will certainly get dusty and a little sticky by hanging in the kitchen above the stove.

So what do you think? It really changes the look of the clock, don’t you think? And for a lot cheaper than some farmhouse style clocks I found available for purchase online.
