How to make paper backpack gift boxes. They make cute gifts for moms or students on the first day of school when filled with little supplies and treats. (some links affiliate)
After you’ve put together school supplies, back-to-school routines, bento lunches and new teacher gifts, do you start to wonder where your gift is? It’s right here! So forward this to all your friends and maybe someone will make you one 🙂
Or you could make one for a friend whose first child is going to Kindergarten, or whose baby is starting high school. Then you just buy extra chocolate for yourself. At any rate, these make a really cute first-day-of school survival kid for moms.
The backpack cut file is from Cre8ive Cutz. It comes with perfect instructions for putting it together. And check out those little paper buckles! It can be uploaded to Silhouette, or Cricut Design Space.
After each piece was cut, I inked the edges just a little with a black ink pad. Then I glued everything together with hot glue. It’s usually my favorite way to glue paper projects that are 3D like this. But if you have a good quality tape runner or adhesive dots, they should hold this together too.
I filled the boxes with the following items:
1–Pack of tissues
2–Small baggie of paper clips
3–Ghirardelli squares
4–Small Post It notes
5–Washi tape covered pen (I have since written about my favorite kind of roller pen and would include those, or these fun erasable colorful pens)
6–Jamba Juice card
To keep the flap closed over the top I used small pieces of adhesive velcro attached to the front strap and on the gift card holder in front. It worked great. Happy back-to-schooling!
