To honor Breast Cancer Awareness month, Cricut has released a whole set of new images in Design Space. You can find the images here. They are perfect for things like shirts, water bottles and greeting cards. I added them to gloves and a headband to create breast cancer run gift bags.

Add iron-on vinyl to knit gloves
To make the gloves and the headband, use the SportFlex iron-on vinyl. It has extra stretch to it and will work much better on these items than Everyday iron-on. One thing I’ve noticed is that the shiny side of the SportFlex is much more slippery than the other iron-ons. So I always tape down the edges of my piece to the mat so that it doesn’t slide around while it’s cutting.
Cut out two ribbon circles (one for each glove) and the word “pink” with the ribbon out of the Fuschia SportFlex. Remember to MIRROR the design when you send it to cut! Then cut “power” out of White SportFlex.
Heat the EasyPress 2 to 305 degrees. Heat the gloves for 5 seconds, then position the circle ribbon on the back of the glove. **NOTE** place the gloves down with thumbs touching, so you make sure to put the iron-on on the back side of each glove, instead of the back of one glove and the palm of the other. Apply gentle pressure with the EasyPress for 30 seconds. Let the glove cool about 20 seconds before removing the plastic carrier sheet. When I tried one when it was still warm, it caused the vinyl to wrinkle.
Repeat with the headband. I trimmed the plastic carrier sheet so that I could layer both pieces and press at the same time. If you do this, make sure that none of the vinyl is layered over any of the carrier sheet of another piece, or it will stick to that plastic and not to the material underneath.
To make the print then cut stickers, load a piece of Printable Vinyl face down into your printer. Follow the prompts in Design Space to send the image to your printer, then place it on a mat and load into the machine. Select Printable Vinyl as your material and cut the stickers.
If you want to make more stickers with these designs, layer the image on top of a white circle or oval. Select both the image and the shape and click Flatten. Then it will be printable, and it will just cut the circle outline.
Add vinyl to gift bag
For the bag, add the glitter iron-on first, since the heat could damage the regular vinyl. Set the EasyPress 2 to 315. Press for 30 seconds and peel off the carrier sheet. Then you can add the black vinyl with transfer tape.
Finally, cut the block of hearts and ribbons out of pink party foil. It makes great confetti and a fun way to add a bit of flair to your breast cancer run gift bags.
