February 25th has been declared Natalie and Alice Fish day by Utah Governor Herbert.
Those of you who live in Utah may have seen some new coverage on the Fish family. Two of their children are undergoing treatment for a very rare condition requiring chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants.
Information can be found here at the Fishes for Marrow Wishes site.
I’m sharing this today because my path crossed Lisy’s for a short time when we were missionaries in Cape Verde. We were companions for only 6 weeks, but she’s one of those amazing people that leave an impact on you right away. We had some great times together…from our little mouse “Ralph” that lived under our stove to our flooding stairs from a broken water shut off valve on the roof, or leaving a “message in a bottle” at the top of a little mountain we hiked, and some great spiritual times as well. She was always leaving cute little uplifting notes for me to find around our small place.
Anyway, if anyone in the area of Pleasant Grove/Cedar Hills wants to help out at all there’s information about a fundraising silent auction taking place this Saturday. You can also make Paypal donations right from the site. Such an easy way to help out some great people! Thanks for taking the time to read, and I hope you click over and learn more about the Fishes. Good luck you guys–thoughts and prayers are with you!
