I received product for this post but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Yay! I get to toss another giveaway at you to make Monday morning a little more exciting! Today we’re talking about Younique Fiber Lashes.

So, if you’re on Facebook I’m sure you’re starting to see posts pop up about Younique makeup products, specifically close-up eyelash pictures of people you don’t even know 🙂 I was kinda skeptical, especially because some of them looked a little spider-y (know what I mean? Sorry people I don’t even know!)

**BUT** I have now changed my mind,

and I’m so glad I got a chance to try these out. One of my friends all the way back from high school, Jennifer, asked if I would do a review and giveaway for you guys. Here’s a picture of me with no eye makeup on.

Now here’s the deal about my lashes. They aren’t super short, but because my eyelids kind of disappear, especially when I smile, my eyelashes tend to get a little lost.

With the 3D lashes, they still really stand out. And they last all day with no smudging–this is a huge bonus for me because I really struggle with finding any mascara that doesn’t smudge under my eyes (back to the squinty-eye-smile thing from before.)

What’s great is that you apply them like mascara. No messy glue or actual lashes to deal with.

Points I loved:

  • Lashes stay soft–they don’t get all stiff like with regular mascara
  • All Younique products are naturally based–the gel is made with green tea collagen and the fibers are 100% natural green tea fibers
  • They last all day with no smudging
  • They come off very easily with eye makeup remover

Here is a popular tutorial showing how to apply them. In the video she doesn’t put a base coat of mascara on. I have been doing one coat mascara, then gel-fibers-gel one time. You can play around with your own lashes to see which look you like best. My final tip is that I separate my lashes along the way with I need to (with a lash comb or straight pin–be careful!)

What do you think about my freaky up-close-eye-picture?

Anyway, we’ve put together this giveaway and one of my readers will win a Younique 3D Fiber Lash set (the gel and the fibers) plus a bonus eyeshadow.  Use the Rafflecopter form below to enter and good luck!
