While wandering around JCPenny the other day, my daughter and I came across this clearance tank top.  Not quite right to fit into my wardrobe or on my body, but a really fun shimmery purple fabric.


I cut it right about where the arm holes were, sewed a casing and added elastic, then ruched up a few places with some elastic thread.  


I used the scraps from the top to make this flower 

and with a couple other items from her closet, she had a whole new outfit for church.
