Rainbow Quilt Block

Remember the easy quilt I made with Emily?  I had just enough scraps left over to make a quilt block to enter in this challenge at Happy Hour Projects.

I kind of wish I was ambitious enough to make enough more of these squares to make a real quilt, because I think it could be just modern enough for my liking.  But instead, I will probably frame this one for Emily.

In case you’re curious, I cut one inch strips of each color and the white and sewed them each together.  Then I cut that into an even square (came out to 7 1/4 inches)  Then I cut black and white pieces (what I used for the backing of Emily’s quilt) about 2 3/4 inches wide to make the whole square 12×12.
