This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m sure you guys remember my purse wall–it’s time for it to make another appearance! It’s been turquoise with chevron, purple with spots, and now it’s getting a little more busy. You may have been like me and hated the idea of painting any stripes on your walls because you know how paint can seep under and make the whole process very frustrating.
How to Paint Crisp Lines

But new FrogTape® Textured Surface is treated with the patented PaintBlock™ Technology. Basically it’s a super absorbent polymer that reacts with the water in latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape. This helps prevent paint bleed. The Liquid PaintBlock® Edge Sealer™ helps deliver super sharp paint lines, even on textured surfaces–like you probably have on all of your walls. Textured Surface by FrogTape® can be found at participating Lowes and Walmart locations, and all Menards stores across the United States.
I started out priming the wall since I was going from dark purple to white. After the white paint was on I let it dry and cure for a couple of weeks (convenient since we were gone on vacation.)  So when we came back I put up strips of FrogTape® Textured Surface™ across the small wall and overlapped a few of them to make some triangle shapes too.  To seal the edges I first pressed the tape down with a damp cloth. Then I used the PaintBlock® sealer along both sides of each piece of tape. Let the sealer dry for 15 minutes.

Now for the fun part-the actual painting! I picked some fun colors for a few of the small spaces and painted those first, making sure to not cross over into the other spaces. Then I painted gray over the rest of the wall. As soon as I finished painting I removed the tape. Look at the great lines on my orange peel surface!  There was one place along one of the coral triangles where I forgot to put the sealer, and a bit of paint leeked through. So easy to touch up on tiny spot instead of along every line! I loved that I was able to complete this whole project in just a couple of hours.

Here’s the whole wall. Isn’t it fab! Even my husband says this is his favorite version 🙂 I think my purse wall has finally found it’s real style.

So what do you think? What wall or other textured surface would you love to paint now that you know how to get clean paint lines?
