To create this fabric gift bag, you’ll need the following items:
Fabric
Ribbon
Acetate sheet (or clear vinyl)
Thread and sewing machine
Cut 3 pieces of fabric 6.5 x 3.5 | 6.5 x 5.5 | 6.5 x 10
Cut acetate sheet 6.5 x 3.5
Cut ribbon 15 inches long.
Fold ¼ inch down on the two smaller pieces and sew close to the raw edge.
Layer clear sheet and sew close to the folded edge
Sew the front to the back, stopping 1 ½ inches from the top on one side.
Turn inside out and on the side where you stopped, fold in a little and sew to hide the raw edge.
Fold top down to create tube for ribbon, and sew.
Thread ribbon in using a safety pin on the end.
Tie ribbon ends in a knot.
Fill with pens and add a handwritten note.
