Last week I took my oldest daughter, who’s 9, on a trip.  Just the two of us!  It was great to have some some good mom-kid time, as well as spend so much time with family in the area.  We sure miss them all!

We visited BYU (and ran through the sprinklers 🙂 saw my parents (they drove down from Idaho Falls to see us!) saw one of my sisters, had some super tasty shaved ice (including once on our way to the airport to come home) played in the water, did fireworks, and played with lots of cousins.

I also got to meet up with all my Point of View friends for lunch on our very first day!  Can you tell where we were?  My Emily was so great to stand there and take pictures with each of our phones 🙂

I know tons of my other blog friends and readers live around there too, and I wish I could have seen all of you somehow!

But like I said, Emily and I had an awesome time, and it’s great to be back home too.  What did you all do for the 4th of July?
