Is it starting to feel like spring yet where you life? I hope so, because it’s really been a crazy winter for most of the country, huh. The sun is actually shining through my window right now, and that’s a great feeling! While I have no control over whether or not the sun shines (believe me, I’ve tried 🙂 I have been trying to do other things that *are* in my control to stay happy and healthy this winter, including a natural probiotic.
I picked some up at Walgreens while refilling a prescription.
Sometimes my new habits show up on Instagram, like drinking more water and going to the gym. Even going to the dentist counts!
(Do you love all the pictures Asher took from the corner chair while he was hanging out with me? He’s 5 🙂
But this is the part where I admit knowing that yogurt is really good for you, all those live cultures and stuff. I even studied microbiology in college! But, I hate yogurt. Unless it’s frozen. With caramel and candy mixed in. But that’s different. ANYway, in addition to my being active, trying to eat healthy foods and exercising my heart and muscles, I added Insync Probiotic once a day.
This dietary supplement contains doctor recommended B. Infantis, one of the good bacteria, or microorganisms that help support digestive health.
Since I mentioned healthy eating too, I wanted to share my most recent smoothie/ protein shake recipe.
1/2 cup milk
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 cup oats, uncooked
1/2 banana, can be frozen
1/2 – 1 cup ice
1 pinch cinnamon
1-2 tsp peanut butter
Blend the milk, protein powder and oats for a minute or two first to make sure the oats get pretty liquified. Then add the rest of the ingredients and finish blending. If you’ve never added oats or cinnamon to your smoothie before, you’re in for a treat. It’s kind of like an oatmeal cookie!
