The Laughing Cow provided me with product and a $50 gift card for this review. However, thoughts and opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of the brand.

I know many of you have sent your kids back to school already, or are starting up in just a couple of days. After school snacks and school lunch stuffers are always on the mind, right?

We’ve got a death grip on summer and are squeezing in as much fun as we still can before we start on the last day of August.

Just last week I took my kids on a hike at Horsetail Falls in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. It’s a beautiful hike that starts out a little rocky and steep, but then you get a pretty fun reward of actually walking behind the waterfall and then up to a pretty lookout of the river. If you look closely you can spot Emily in the picture above.

Since half the fun of hiking is just being able to stop on the trail and eat some snacks outside, we brought along some Laughing Cow Cheese Dippers. You get some crunchy breadsticks to dip in the creamy cheese and we all loved them. They’d be great for school lunches too!

We tried out the Creamy Swiss flavor, and next I think we’ll try the Tomato and Herb version! Besides being easy to transport and tasty, each serving has 4 grams of protein and is an excellent source of calcium.

They always have fun eventually, even if they start out complaining a little 🙂 This is also where I throw in a reminder to you (and to me) that just because school starts again doesn’t mean the outdoor fun has to stop. Saturdays are great for hiking in September and October around here too, before the rain starts to come back.

So whether you’re hitting the trail, making school lunches, driving the carpool or sitting at soccer practice, print out the coupon from coupons.com, grab some Cheese Dippers, and keep all the adults and kids happy. Have you tried them yet?

Yum, I've been waiting for these to come out. My daughter will be in love.
