I’ve got a treat for you today, and over the next few weeks–I’m introducing some of my blog friends to you! Please welcome Cori, a soon-to-be twin mom with a great eye for design and patterns. You’ll want to be her friend too 🙂

Hello friends of Crafting in the Rain! My name is Cori and I blog over at Hey, Let’s Make Stuff. Stephanie asked me to introduce myself today, and share a few of my favorite posts.

I’ve been blogging for more than ten years, and I absolutely love it. My blog is all about the stuff I make — DIY projects, crafts, sewing, and recipes, with a bit of family and travel thrown in. I’m passionate about creating a community where we can all make together. I think it’s good for the soul!

My husband and I live in Northern California with our enormous Bernese mountain dog, Gunnar, and in a few months we’re expecting our newest addition — twin boys! We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the babies into our lives. Big changes for us!

Want to know more about what I blog about? Here are five of my favorite projects, and why!

Learn how to make four different types of tissue paper flowers -- they can make a gorgeous wedding centerpiece without breaking the bank!

I made more than 400 tissue paper flowers for our wedding, and now this post is the most popular on my blog! Not surprising — wedding centerpieces for $40 total? Yes please!

Lacking storage space? Build some chunky floating shelves -- both beautiful and practical!

I also love, love, love DIY. We bought a 1980s home back in September, and I’ve been on a quest to make it my own! These floating shelves are a good example of the type of projects I love to do — they really helped make our dining room feel complete!

This Go Fly a Kite QAYG quilt block is perfect for a spring quilt! Includes the instructions to make this adorable quilt block.

Sewing has been a big passion of mine for a few years now. I particularly love to quilt, especially in a style known as “quilt as you go.” I have a lot of sewing tutorials on my blog, including this Go Fly a Kite quilt block — perfect for a fun spring or summer project!

Thinking of traveling to Norway? Here are important things you need to know before you go!

And as I mentioned above, I love to travel! As much as I love making my house a home, I could spend my days traveling the world. My husband and I took a 26-day honeymoon through Europe, including nine days on a motorcycle in Norway! You can read all about our adventure, starting here in Sweden. Add this to trips to New Zealand, the UK, Italy, and all sorts of places across North America, and you’ll find that I definitely suffer from wanderlust!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek inside my world! Thank you, Steph, for letting me introduce myself to your readers — I think there’s something for everyone on my blog!

If you’d like to follow along with me on social media, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. Looking forward to meeting you!
