Easiest Way to Position Vinyl

Do you know the parchment paper trick for positioning adhesive vinyl?

The Cricut Minute #14

You can actually lay a weeded vinyl design down on parchment paper and it won’t stick to it at all AND you can kind of see through to your surface, or previously placed layers of vinyl.

Then when it’s in the right spot, you can slide out the parchement paper and stick the vinyl down.

If that sounds a little confusing at all, I have a full video on a notebook cover I designed. You’ll also see how I use the registration squares along with the parchment paper to get perfect alignment.

Today’s Tip: Parchement Paper to Position Vinyl

After weeding adhesive vinyl, set it on a piece of parchment paper. Then you can shift the design around until is it in the perfect location because the parchment paper is partially see through, and the vinyl won’t stick to it.

Getting a package of flat sheets is way easier than dealing with curled paper that comes off a roll. PLUS, this brand doesn’t have any grid lines, so it’s easier to see through it. Buy it and share with your friends 🙂
