{Heart shaped coffee filter wreath}

I’ve seen coffee filter wreaths on a bunch of different blogs and I decided to try a holiday specific one. This wasn’t my first coffee filter project. I have a vague memory from when I was 10 or so. It was something involving filters and food coloring and turning them in to flowers. I’d like to think this looks a little more sophisticated. It’s been on our front door for a couple of weeks now, and it’s holding up great. The roof shelters it from the rain, but even the humidity hasn’t done anything to it.

I cut the heart shape from cardboard, hot glued the coffee filters to it, glued that to a large wreath and looped some red ribbon thorough it. Since a regular wreath holder won’t fit over my door with enough room to let it close properly, I just secured the ribbon with a flat thumb tack on the top of the door.

Want more coffee filter wreaths? They’re pretty fun!
