This is a great recipe for anyone who loves nuts and brown sugar.  And it’s super easy to make too.  The top gets all crispy, the insides are kind of gooey–almost like a pecan pie–but not soupy!

1 egg
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Mix together well, breaking up lumps of brown sugar

1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Mix together add to wet ingredients

Stir in 1 cup roughly chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Here’s what it looks like when it’s all combined; it’s pretty thick.

Spread in a greased 8×8 pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350.

Let cool completely before cutting.  Makes 16 servings.
