My Weekend is All Booked DIY Book Tote

I’m sure most of you have kids who love to read, just like my kids. Now that we’re into our busy school schedules, I want to make sure that we still get to the library often. So I made a cute DIY book tote to make it even easier for the kids to bring home books from the library.  (some links  affiliate)

To make the bag you’ll need a canvas tote bag, iron on vinyl, a cutting machine like a Cricut, and an iron or an EasyPress.

Design your cut out and make sure you MIRROR the image before you cut, because the vinyl goes face down through the machine.

I found a stack of books in Cricut Design Space and added the words “My weekend is all booked.” Cute, right? Weed out the letters and books from the design. Then center the vinyl onto your bag. Use a hot iron, without steam, to press down on all parts of the design, about 20 seconds each section.

Pull up a corner of the clear backing to make sure the vinyl is sticking down. Then remove the entire backing and your bag is done. Head off to the library to fill it up!
