How to Make Felt Flowers with Cricut

Welcome to the first Create with Cricut Challenge post of 2018! Our Mystery supply is felt, and I’m so excited to see what all my friends made. If you cut out felt for any reason – or if you just want to get started, a Cricut Maker is a must. The new rotary blade cuts felt perfectly, every time.
I decided to make the Spring Felt Flowers project, but used Valentine’s Day colors instead. I originally cut pink, white, and teal, but then realized I liked the bouquet without the blue flowers.
Load the felt onto your mat (I have found that I prefer using the green mat for felt, instead of the pink fabric mat – but you can use either.) When you hit cut, the project defaults to the Fine Tip Blade, but you will want to change it to the Rotary Blade. Change it by clicking the “choose another blade” and then you can select the rotary blade. Easy peasy.

Cut out as many flowers as you want – look how cleanly the edges all look!

You can see here where I cut the blue felt, but then decided to not use it. Maybe for another project.

To make each flower, fold the felt shape in half and secure with a tiny bit of hot glue. Then glue the end of a wire flower stem and fold in half again. It even makes a heart shape!

Cut the wire stems with wire cutters so you have different heights of flowers.
