Thanks for stopping by for another day of Disney Week.  Our 3-year-old has recently gotten very excited about anything with Mickey Mouse.  Only he calls him Mickey-the-Mouse, which I think is about the cutest thing ever (related to Thomas-the-Train maybe?)

The mousse I made is the mousse part only from this cake recipe at Our Best Bites, and I doubled it.  I prepared it in the morning, left it in the fridge, and then spooned it into “fancy” cups from the Dollar store (6 for $1!)

To make the Mickeys, melt chocolate wafers in the microwave at half power then spoon into a plastic bag.  Snip a tiny hole in one corner and squeeze the chocolate Mickey shapes.  To keep them consistent, I printed some images off my computer and put the wax paper over the top so I could see through.

I did the 2 ear circles, the head circle, and then just zig-zaggy lines to fill them in.

Wait until they’re completely cooled before trying to peel them off the paper.  And always make extras in case they break!  I would love to see these on top of cup cakes too 🙂  Top mousse with whipped cream and a chocolate Mickey.
