Have you reserved a booth at any upcoming Craft Fairs? You’ll want to make sure you get your branding materials ready! (Read to the end for a coupon code!)
And I will show you how a wireless label printer can make that faster and easier.
Summer and fall are really popular times for craft fairs across the US. In the summer, the weather is usually nice enough to hold outdoor events, which encourages people to come out and walk around. In the fall, people have started thinking about the holiday season including gifts and decor.
If you think about the fairs you have attended as a shopper, I’m sure you’ve noticed a wide range of booths, and likely the ones that attract your attention first are those with strong branding elements.
Why Do You Need Branding Materials?
Branding materials give a cohesiveness to your booth, what you’re selling, and your overall image. It shows potential customers that you have put some time and effort into thinking of what you want to put out into the world.
It also shows a customer that you have been thinking about them, even before they met you. You’ve created a personal touch to your booth and to your items.
This can be done through signage, brand colors, matching fonts for your logo, price lists, and item labels, and more. It forces you to come up with a clear brand message because you’re not just throwing together individual labels or signs based on a whim.
Everything is part of a bigger whole – plus it helps you be more recognizable at future events! If someone remembers you had a cute pink star sticker on the top of every candle lid, when they see your sign with the pink star in the logo, they’ll remember it’s you!
Materials You Need for a Craft Fair
The following list is a good start to help you think of different branding materials you should prepare and bring.
- QR codes: visitors view a square code through their phone camera and a link pops up that they can click that can take them to wherever you like. Some good options are –
- an online shop or your website
- a specific Social Media profile
- an email list sign-up (maybe provide a coupon for subscribing)
- a survey (another good place to provide an incentive)
- Price list
- printed in easy-to-read fonts
- easily visible
- no one wants to have to ask how much something costs
- Personalized sticker labels with your logo
- put these on your items
- give them away for free
- lots of different sizes, such as 2″x2″, 2.25″x1.25″, 4″x6″, 3″x3″
- Business cards
- reminds people what you sell
- may encourage a purchase or question after the event
- make sure there’s an email or website, plus your name and company name
- Signs with your business name
- if you don’t have a large banner yet, this is fine! Start with your logo and business name printed on a poster from a photo printing store (check prices online, or at your local drugstore even!)
- use a spray adhesive to attach it to a foam board from the dollar store and you can easily display on an easel or by taping it up
Some of the above items can be made with a wireless label printer. Ideal for creating personalized and custom label prints with its 300dpi resolution, producing clear and crisp sticker labels. Perfect for scenarios such as crafting personalized labels for gifts and packages. Let me show you a couple of examples.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
- Munbyn RealWriter 401 AirPrint – a roll holder is super useful, but if you don’t have one yet, try setting the roll in a bowl so it stays in place but can still rotate!
- Round pink labels
- 4×6 labels (I use these for Etsy shipping labels, but I’ll show you another way to use them!)
- Install the Munbyn app on your phone
Print Ingredient or Instruction labels
Depending on what you sell, your items may have an ingredient list (ex: foods, snacks, candles, cosmetic items). An airprint label printer is a great way to get a stack of ingredient labels printed quickly. How quick you may ask? This Munybyn Thermal Printer prints 150mm/s, 1 label per second.
- Plug in and power on the Munbyn printer
- Press the side button to open the lid and load the end of one rectangular label
- Open the Munbyn app and tap the Plus button to create a new label
- Change the label type to Shipping Label White (4×6 inches)
- Use the app functions to design your app – NOTE You can also copy and paste sections of text into the app, in case that’s easier for you than typing everything out!
- Change font type, size, add icon image, align and space elements, insert your own images
- Tap Print and preview the label
- Change the number of copies needed by tapping the up arrow near the bottom, then tap Print again
Logo Sticker Labels with Munbyn
You can also print logo stickers! They won’t be full-color, but you can choose a color sticker that matches your brand.
Since these are thermal sticker labels, you won’t be using up expensive ink in your home printer. Here’s how you’ll upload your logo to put it on a round label.
- Load round stickers into the printer
- Open the Munbyn app and choose the label size and shape
- Tap Image, and upload your logo image
- Size it to fit the label – the white background is ok because only the black will print
- Change the number of copies
Waterproof Shipping Labels
I briefly mentioned before that I use this printer for my Etsy shipping labels. You may remember that I live in the Pacific Northwest – so while I don’t leave my packages sitting out in the elements, there’s a chance they’ll get sprinkled on while I get them from my car to inside the Post Office.
Munbyn’s shipping labels and sticker labels are waterproof, ensuring that my shipping information won’t get ruined in harsh weather.
Plus, I save a ton of time and ink by not printing address labels out on printer paper, cutting them to size, and attaching to packages with tape.
Another great feature is the WiFi printing. It’s convenient for scenarios where you need to print from a
distance. AirPrint driverless printing, you no longer need to download the driver for a computer. Additionally, it supports USB printing for situations without WiFi – so as long as you can plug in the printer, you could even print other labels on site!
