Several weeks ago one of our neighbors brought us this dollhouse, knowing we have two girls who would love to play with it. They were right. And even though it had a couple layers of super old contact paper on it, and was dusty from sitting in a garage for so long, I knew it had potential the moment I saw it.
I washed it off, added a couple of nails where it was pulling apart a little, and covered it all with two coats of paint. I started out with spray paint, but I could see I didn’t have enough cans or enough patience to do it that way. So I just used some leftover paint we had in the garage.
The paper I used was all from the Blossom Song paper pack by Die Cuts with a View. To cut each piece to the right size, I made patterns using regular paper, cutting and taping until it filled the space I needed. Lots of Mod Podge later, each room had new life!
Have you fixed up any old toys for your kids?
