I love craft project kits, and so do my kids. Everything’s included that you need, so you can start your project right away and you just need your creativity. Today we’re showing off two kits from Cool Brands. The Text Cool and Knit’s Cool™.
My kids are 11, 9 and 7 (two girls and a boy) and I can tell you they all liked both of these kits. The Text Cool™studio comes with a letter and emoticon wheel that runs the flat bracelets through and stamps them. In all there are 35 bracelets with 60 total letters and emoticons.
There are just a couple of parts to put together, and my kids were able to do it easily. They loved adding their own creative messages..
The wheels can be changed out so images and letters can be on the same bracelet. Plastic snaps easily connect the two ends of the bracelet.
They all took turns, and kept going making more even after I took this picture.
The Knit’s Cool™ knitting kit makes knitting easy, because there are no needles! There are three projects, each with picture instructions on how to knit them.
Even Asher wanted in on the action. It makes it super easy to learn how to knit, using some of the videos here.
Plastic posts of different sizes fit in their designated holes (or storage slots when not in use) and this yellow hook holds yarn and keeps it untangled.
Once the yarn is cast on, pull one loop up, grab the yarn coming from the back and pull it though the loop to make a new loop to place on the other post. Each time all the loops to onto a new post, that counts as one line. Move the counter on the side to keep track of where you are.
Follow the project instructions for how to finish the piece, including adding on any of the included charms.
These kits give your kids the opportunity to be creative and then use what they made. They’re perfect for birthday or Christmas gifts, or just to have around for boredom busters. I made a video too if you want to see how the blue scarf came together.
Find Knit’s Cool and Text Cool are available at Target, Walmart, Toys R Us and Amazon.
