Anna Griffin Minc

I was sent a machine to use. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you have been eyeing all the beautiful foil cards, embellishments and prints that have been taking over the craft world, I have great news for you. And it comes in perfect time for Mother’s Day! Put it on your wish list, then grab this amazing deal from HSN on Monday, May 11.

Let me take a couple minutes to show you why you’ll want one! The 6″ Anna Griffin Minc machine comes with 130 die cut accessories that are ready to turn into beautiful foiled embellishments using one of the 4 glitter sheets or 50 foil sheets included. You can also create your own designs, as long as they’ve been printed with toner (make a copy at a copy center….ink jet printers won’t work.) Paper up to 6 inches wide will fit.

Start by choosing your piece you want foiled and place it in one of the plastic carrier sheets, design up. Then lay down a foil sheet, shiny side up, making sure the whole design is covered. Fold over the carrier sheet and run it through the machine.

There are 5 heat settings to choose from, depending on the material you are running through the machine. When it comes out the other side, remove it from the plastic sleeve and peel up the foil.

The way it works is the foil adheres to the toner when it heats up. The machine has heated rollers that provide evenly distributed heat and pressure for an even feed and consistent results. I love that the machine is compact and easy to store.

So how to you get your hands on one of these? I’m so glad you asked 🙂 This Minc bundle has a value of over $150, but starting on Monday, May 11 you can snag one from HSN for a fraction of retail. There will be a limited number available, so be quick.

I made a card by making a gold foil flower and pink glitter background. The glitter sheet goes glitter side down when you run it through the machine.

What do you want to foil first? And do you have any questions for me about it?

I’ve found that the higher quality and smoother surface creates a better transfer of the toner on the page and thus a better foil transfer.

Can you use the Anna Griffin glitter sheets in the Hedi Swapp minc machine?

I haven't tried printing any of my own designs yet since I only have an ink jet printer. However, any paper you print on with your laser printer should work. I suggest doing a trial run of something small and see what happens!
