Several months ago we bought 9 of the Malma frames, knowing we could use them somewhere. But instead they sat in a closet all this time! I finally decided to pull them out and brainstorm. It’s not a new idea. They’re basically designed to be personalized at home, since they’re just unfinished wood.
I didn’t prime them or anything, just started painting. I used this super cheap paint from Michael’s and chose the Espresso color.
Regular price: 59 cents. Purchased on sale for half off. It’s a little thin, so the wood just soaked up the first coat. It had a cool effect, kind of like staining, but I couldn’t keep the look consistent enough to leave them that way.
