I am writing this post in exchange for a discounted conference ticket; however, all opinions are mine and mine alone.#SoFabUOTR #cbias
Who are my readers and fellow bloggers in Seattle? I will be there in April attending the one-day SoFabU on the Road conference in on April 18th at The Crowne Plaza. Since I’m back in school now, I really lost some of my options for attending blogging events during the year. But this one fits right into my schedule and is only a 3 hour drive for me.
The schedule includes a presentation by Andy Hayes, the founder and creator of Plum Deluxe. The website helps you create moments that matter. Based in Portland, Or (just over the river from me!) Andy is a published author, prolific writer, tea lover and public speaker. He’s been featured on CNN, Wall Street Journal and National Geographic. Andy is known for his fresh ideas on living a good life.
In addition to hearing Andy speak, there will be other classes focused on blogging and working with sponsors, as well as a Seattle-specific adventure and other learning opportunities. And I already mentioned just being able to hang out with other bloggers! There really is nothing quite like having the chance to talk to people who understand all your blogging lingo and can offer suggestions on everything from better photos, social media, and making sure your family stays the most important thing.
If you’re interested in attending yourself, visit SoFabU on the Road and look for the city nearest you. (Maybe it’s Seattle?) Upcoming cities and months are as follows:
I’ve had a lot of fun working with Social Fabric over the last year and a half (click to see all my Collective Bias posts) and have gotten to work with some great brands. I’ve even been using some blog income to pay for my college classes as I’m starting the journey to go back to school and finish my degree. Brand sponsors for this conference are Johnny Rockets, Müller, Kraft and iBl
