Decorated paper bags from the craft store come together for an easy Valentine countdown.
Valentine’s Day crafts are one of my favorite ways to brighten up the house again after all the Christmas decorations come down. Pinks and reds and hearts are just happy, aren’t they?
You’ll need:
Small paper bags
Ribbon and embellishments
Clothespins
Paper hearts
Black vinyl numbers
Twine (optional)
Glue
Start by decorating the plain white bags by gluing a strip of ribbon across and a paper rosette in the middle. I used hot glue because I love how fast it is, but pretty much any kind of glue or tape runner will work.
Number each heart (I cut the hearts and the vinyl with my Cricut.) and glue to the end of the clothespins.
Since I have this big blue frame (see how I made it here), I wanted to use it to display the countdown bags. I taped 2 pieces of twine around the back side. You can hang them from a mantel, or something else, or just stand them on a shelf.
How to Build a Large Frame |
Add treats or notes to each of the bags and open one each day leading up to Valentine’s Day.
