If you want to use different colors of pens for different things, you can change Cricut pen colors in Design Space, and the it will tell you when to switch the pen colors so your final project matches the canvas.
For example, you want to cut two tags with different signatures in different colors.
Instead of making two projects, do them at once like this.
The writing on the first tag has the color changed to red, and here on the second tag I’ve chosen Turquoise.
Make sure to attach the pen layer to the tag shape below it, or it won’t get drawn in the correct place.
Today’s Tip: Change Pen Colors for Organization
- If you want to use different pen colors, you can still do the project all at once
- Choose the pen color from the color drop down
- Follow the prompts in Design Space for when to add which pen color to clamp A
- Be sure to attach the writing layer to the tag behind so it draws in the correct place
BONUS: Test out the pen on some scratch paper to make sure it works/ hasn’t dried out.
BONUS 2: Press up from the bottom of clamp A a little when pressing the pen down from the top to make sure it’s loaded all the way in to get the best drawing results. Here’s a photo, and a video too!
