Common HTV layering mistake

The Cricut Minute #4 – important advice about iron-on vinyl!

It’s Spring Break week here! So I’m pretty proud that I still remembered to send this out on a Tuesday 🙂

For today’s tip, I’m giving you an important piece of advice about Iron-on Vinyl.

If you’re doing a single press of one color, all cut out on one carrier sheet, you don’t need to worry about this one.

But when you’re trying to save time by pressing a few pieces at once, save yourself from this headache!

Today’s Tip: Know Where the Carrier Sheet Is

If you are pressing two or more pieces of Iron-on vinyl (HTV) at the same time, make sure that the plastic carrier sheet has been trimmed so that no piece of vinyl is layered over it!

Why it’s important to pay attention to the carrier sheet

You’ll preserve your design and not have to start over!
If the carrier sheet is in the way, the HTV will stick to it instead of the shirt or bag or hat underneath it. So it will lift up when you take away that carrier sheet.

If you’re ready for 9 more HTV tips MORE INFO HERE We’ll come back to it in other Cricut Minute emails – but next we we’re starting on Print then Cut!
