The other day I rolled into the gas station with “0 miles to empty” showing on my info screen. I was honestly afraid I wasn’t going to make it! But luckily I did. At that moment I realized that I’d been virtually running on empty for the last couple of weeks myself. I definitely needed a little feel-good treat to perk up the rest of my afternoon.
The recipe is really easy to make:
M&M’s plain
5 JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
2 oz Dark chocolate
¼ cup Toffee bits
Colored sugar sprinkles
Cut Rice Krispies Treat in half with a table knife. Melt dark chocolate in a small microwave safe
bowl at 50% power in 30 second intervals, until melted and smooth when stirred.
Using table knife, cut mini marshmallows in half and dip cut edge into colored sprinkles.
Dip bottom half of Rice Krispies Treats into melted dark chocolate, then in toffee bits. Set on wax paper to cool.
Use the tip of a toothpick to transfer melted chocolate to the backs of the marshmallows and attach 5 marshmallow petals onto the top of each Rice Krispies Treats piece
to make a flower. Attach one M&M’s plain candy to the center of each flower.
Set treats in the fridge for 10 minutes to cool all the chocolate. Remove and enjoy.
Serving size: 1 Rice Krispies Treat (both halves)
Be sure to pick up all these ingredients then on your next trip to Walmart so you are ready when you need an afternoon treat.
How would you dress up a Rice Krispies Treat? Would you like the chocolate and toffee on these?
