Just because life gets busy and school nights can be hectic, it doesn’t mean you should sacrifice taste and a fancy meal. With Bertolli Classic Meals you can have an Italian experience at home with your family on any night. “Mangia” means “eat” in Italian, but it’s also an experience. It’s enjoying a meal with your family, creating a beautiful setting or tasty side dish to make your dinner complete.

I picked up the Chicken Florentine & Farfalle, and there are a lot of other options too, like Italian Sausage & Rigatoni and Shrimp, Asparagus & Penne. Don’t those sound delicious? I also grabbed a fresh baguette from the Fred Meyer bakery.

They were both a great deal! Now is a great time to stock up on a few to keep on hand in your freezer too. Then when those nights come along where it’s suddenly 6 and everyone’s hungry, you can still have dinner on the table in 20 minutes or less. Now that’s what I call smart.

The dinner cooks up all in one pan, in just about 12 minutes. Work on the baguette while that is cooking. To make the toasted garlic baguette, mix 3 TBS soft butter with 1 TBS olive oil, 1/2 tsp garlic powder and 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper.

Slice the baguette and toast on a cookie sheet under the broiler for about 30-60 seconds.

Watch them so they only get toasted and not black! Take them out and flip each slice over. Spread some of the garlic butter mix on the side that is now the top. Place them back under the broiler, again only about 30- 60 seconds, so they get toasted on the edges. Plate the pasta with a couple of slices of baguette and enjoy your meal!

Which Bertolli Classic Meal would be a favorite in your house? You can pick them up at some of the lowest prices of the year at your neighborhood Fred Meyer or other Kroger store. Find a store near you.
