The time for last minute Christmas gifts is nearly here! Don’t panic though, there’s a solution that doesn’t involve paying crazy rushed-shipping fees. My guess is that you pass a few different Walgreen’s stores as you run different errands during the day. We’ve been there fairly often recently as we’ve been trying a few different things to help combat my daughter’s new-found cough-variant asthma. Fun times 🙂
Anyway, the Walgreens holiday gift guide (found in-store or online) has some great ideas to get you started. My challenge was to create some Secret Santa gifts from Walgreens. I wanted to take a bit of a different spin from the regular office-place Secret Santa exchange, and instead drop off a secret package to someone who could maybe use a little something extra this Christmas.
By showing you these pictures, I’m banking on two things… That the recipient doesn’t read my blog, and that if any one of my other friends figures it out, they’ll keep my secret for me 🙂
First off, in looking through the gift guide, I first spotted lots of fun food and treat ideas. So I knew I wanted to incorporate something yummy into my gift. There were also lots of fun games, which are great for family time together.
So here’s what I came up with:
The game Bananagrams (a fast-paced game where you race against opponents to build crossword grids with your letter tiles) and some Chunky Monkey ice cream.
And different kinds of lip balm with lip-smacking chocolates!
Who wouldn’t love these combinations, right?
The tricky part was just figuring out how to secretly deliver the present. The easy part was picking them!
What fun gift pairings have you come up with this year?
